Paper shredders if left on could impose harm to your cat’s safety. If the motor of the paper shredders becomes warm, cats usually walk on them, as they are known to love warm places. This spot could entice them for a cozy sleeping spot. However, the danger here is that their fur might be caught in the shredding teeth. In some cases, some dogs are reported to their tongue caught in the shredder.

What you need to do is to make sure to turn off your paper shredder once you are done using it. Never leave your paper shedder turn on or better yet is to unplug the paper shredder until you need to use it again. Another to watch out is your washer and dryer.

You need to make sure that you keep the lid closed on your washing machine when it is not in use. Kittens and cats love warm and enclosed spots. When you load the dryer, make sure your pet does not jump in. Make sure that your power outlets have safety covers. This could prevent your dog or cat from licking the outlet or sticking a nail into it.
